Transistor tester circuit

This is a simple circuit to test transistors.I think you can simply fix this.Hfe as high as 1000 can be measured by using this circuit. The POT R4 can be adjusted to get a constant current of 10uA.

Notes

# J1 and J2 are transistor sockets.
# The Zener diodes must be rated at least 400mW.

The POT R4 can be adjusted to get a constant current of 10uA and the POT R5 can be adjusted to get a constant current of 10uA. There are two circuits in this schematic: One to test PNP and other to test NPN. You need calibrate and test both :)

The value of this constant current can be given by the equations:
(VD1-0.6) / (R2+R4) Current for Q1
(VD2-0.6) / (R3+R5) Current for Q2

How the circuit work using 9V, I think is possible the use of other equivante transitors, such as the pairs: (2N2222A / 2N2907) , (BC337 / BC338) , (BC547 / BC557) and (BC548 / BC558)

All these are general purpose and low power transistors. :)
